Official Opening: Pacific Lung Health Centre

The Pacific Lung Health Centre will have its official opening on November 19 at 2 pm. This new clinic is a Providence HealthCare program designed to optimize the provision of ambulatory care services at St. Paul's Hospital. "The clinic is located adjacent to the Pulmonary Function Laboratories, Bronchoscopy facilities, clinical research area and the Respirology in patient ward to facilitate rapid and comprehensive services for patients with lung disease," the Director of the Respiratory Division Dr. Robert Levy said. The eight Respirologists working in the clinic are all affiliated with the University of British Columbia.
Apart from clinical care, the mandate of the clinic is also to provide state of the art education for patients and health care professionals, as well as to conduct research. These activities will be carried out both in the clinic and in the community.
